Learning Series

VCU and VCU Health serve a diverse urban and rural population that has been significantly impacted by health disparities. History and Health provides education about how broader social contexts and history inform current day health inequities and disparities experienced by individuals who primarily reside in the Virginia communities we serve. We aim to build a collective understanding of VCU Health and VCU’s history to create a more inclusive institutional culture that will help to close the gaps in health outcomes.
